Under the usual double taxation treaties, income from immovable property is taxable in the country where the property is located, which here means Spain. How your home country then treats that income is set by the treaty between the two countries, and the methods differ.
What has to appear in your home country return, and how Spanish tax is credited or exempted there, is exactly where wrong information gets expensive. That answer comes from a tax adviser in your country of residence.
What can be done on the Spanish side is keeping the records, amounts and periods complete and in order.
